Alexis and her husband Peter welcomed me into their home to photograph their family and document their beautiful new addition, Case. It was a partly overcast day which made the window light nice and soft so I had them cuddle up on the couch where the light hit just right. When I showed up, Case was taking a quick nap so I was able to grab some one on one photos of Mama and her first born, Kai. It was really sweet to capture these two together before the rest of the family joined for photos. Case, having just woken from a nap, was in such a good mood (as he usually is) and provided endless smiles.

It’s always so fun to see families and siblings interact, and I really believe that photographing in ones home really allows for the focus to be on genuine interactions, which always makes for honest photographs.
