I had the pleasure of participating in an awesome workshop a couple weekends ago up in Arlington, Washington at a gorgeous event space called Sadie Lake Events.  Brit Solie, a very talented Seattle based photographer (and a good high school friend of mine :)), hosted the stylized shoot and brought along Sarah Harris and Adrien Craven to help guide and teach the other togs that attended with me.  They had the day divided into 2 themes: dark and moody and light and airy with every detail planned and executed to the tee.  I mean, take a look at the table scapes, the invitation suites, and the most gorgeous flower arrangements full of texture!  Not only was everything gorgeous to look at and photograph, but all the vendors that participated in the event  were so lovely to talk to and work along side with.  

In between the two themes, we had some time to sit down and discuss goal planning, business basics, and editing in Lightroom.  Brit's personality and knowledge of photography and editing made it fun and engaging.   I opted to spend the night with a couple others and enjoyed a bon fire and more talk about photography (cause duh!) and of course high school (Brit and I had a lot to catch up on!).  

This is my 2nd photography workshop with Brit... last year she held a stylized wedding shoot at a remote location outside of Vantage, Washington, which was a strikingly beautiful location as well (and super hot for those familiar with Central Washington in the middle of the summer!).   I did that before I started keeping a blog, so I should probably blog those as well!

I'm super excited to get into the world of wedding photography.  I've primary shot one wedding and am looking for more opportunities!  These workshops are so great to get your feet wet and focus on the overall techniques.
